Miracles of Reading Bedtime Stories

Many more parents would want to read bedtime stories to their children before they fall asleep, or be with them at home and read and discuss stories with then - but they have trouble finding the time. If your busy time is paying spent part of the money you make to hire a ‘super nanny’ who can fit your shoes. It is imperative you create time for leisure, reading space and time for your child where an adult can read stories for them interesting stories. Parents or other adults in the family must find the time for pres-choolers for reading and writing (drawing pictures or scribbling).

Parental involvement is the best investments a family can make towards their academic improvement of their children. “If you get involved and stay involved, you can make a world of difference’. Parental involvement in education can mean: Reading a bedtime story to your pre-school child...checking homework every night...getting involved in PTA...discussing your children's progress with teachers...voting in school board elections...helping your school to set challenging academic standards...limiting TV viewing to no more than two hours on school nights...getting personally involved in governing your school...becoming an advocate for better education in your community and state...and insisting on high standards of behavior for children. Former President of the United States of America Mr.Bill Clinton summed up the role of a parent as "Parents who know their children's teachers and help with the homework and teach their kids right from wrong - these parents can make all the difference."

Reading is one of the strongest skills that parents can help their children to develop. Without reading skills, students find other subjects a kind of hassle. Understanding what they read in a book is strenuous activity. If they do not get over reading difficulties in school, grasping and responding to written company policies, creating reports or leading team projects will be a big problem.

Reading skills develop in progression – from understanding word meanings to comprehending sentences, and message in a paragraph. By reading to his child daily or at least several times a week, parents build a passion for reading in the young person. Over time, this inspires the child to read more frequently on his own.

Be your child's cheerleader. Show enthusiasm in his reading effort and encourage of their individual interests whether in academics or other activities that are academic oriented.
